Specializing in Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Rob brings 20+ years of experience to help his clients develop new tools and techniques to cope with the challenges of life. He has extensive experience addressing Obsessive-Compulsive Disorders (OCD), Phobias, Anxiety, ADHD and Depression. Rob is an ADHD-Certified Clinical Services Provider and has completed Level 1 Training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy, and he uses Gottman Method Couples Therapy in his work.
He provides premarital and marital therapy, helping clients develop tools to communicate better, negotiate differences and problem-solve in a healthier way. This helps couples deepen their friendship and intimacy.
Rob also has extensive experience working with family caregivers who are managing a loved one’s care with Alzheimer’s Disease or other chronic medical condition.
Rob helps individuals through difficult life changes and uses Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Exposure and Response Therapy (ERP) and other supportive therapy approaches in his work. Rob is a graduate of the NYU Advanced Cognitive Behavioral Therapy course.
Rob is a parent of two adult children, one who is a college graduate and one currently in college. He understands the unique challenges young adults and parents face in today's world and understands the stress of being a parent and helping aging parents. Rob creates a supportive and nonjudgmental environment where individuals and couples can feel heard and understood. Whether addressing cultural differences within a relationship, identity development, or managing external pressures, his approach is informed by both personal and professional experience.
Rob is committed to offering the care that helps his clients get back on track, find their inner strengths, and repair unproductive thoughts and behavior patterns.
Robert is licensed in New York and is also approved to provide telehealth services to Florida residents. He also has a Post Graduate Certificate in Bioethics and Medical Humanities (May 2009) and holds a Geriatric Scholar Certification (Obtained April 2004) as well.
