It discusses the nuances between the anxiety that we all have in some social situations and SAD, which is anxiety at a level that causes impairment to everyday activities. The article highlights CBT as a resource for SAD and we couldn't agree more.

Along with recent coverage of Naomi Osaka's struggles with mental health, it seems that more athletes are speaking out about their experiences. While it may seem that someone like Raven Saunders is living a charmed life by being able to compete in the Olympics, reality can be far different and anyone can struggle with anxiety and depression at any point in their life. Saunders' feeling of self-worth was tied to her athletic performance, which was difficult when she was not performing as well as she felt she should have been. She discusses how her experience with therapy gave her the tools to work through difficult times and to feel better.
